Meet Your Local Experts

At River Allied Health, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking team of innovative and professional allied health specialists.

Our crew of experienced physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, and allied health assistants utilise a collaborative approach to deliver efficient, expert, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a dynamic healthcare profession highly skilled in problem solving and helping you manage a wide range of conditions. We help people of all ages and abilities manage pain, reduce the risk of future problems and recover from surgery, illness or injury.

Our physiotherapists will work with you to create customised treatment plans that suit your unique needs. We utilise a variety of evidence-based methods, including tailored exercises, manual therapy techniques and personalised education to help you best understand your body, manage problems and realise your goals.

Our approach empowers individuals to regain mobility, improve strength, achieve meaningful outcomes and enhance their overall quality of life.

As autonomous practitioners, River Allied Health physios welcome clients without the need of a referral.

Exercise Physiology

Exercise physiology focuses on helping people move better, manage health conditions, and feel their best through tailored exercise programs. With their expertise, people of all ages can reduce pain, boost energy, improve function, and enjoy a more active and fulfilling lifestyle.

“EP’s” often assist with conditions like COPD, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and developmental disorders, using targeted exercises to create meaningful, lasting improvements in quality of life. They work closely with you to create plans that reduce symptoms, build strength and muscle mass, improve fitness and flexibility, enhance balance and coordination, and support long-term health.

Whether you need occasional guidance, regular progression or more intensive ongoing support, our EPs are here to help. Whilst it’s common to have a referral to see an EP from a GP or other healthcare professional, anyone can seek their help without one.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy uses the natural support and resistance of water to help people improve movement, build strength, and manage pain. In a warm pool, our trained professionals guide exercises and provide therapy that range from gentle to more intensive, depending on individual needs and goals.

Often used as a stepping stone in rehabilitation, hydrotherapy provides a safe and supportive environment that makes it easier to build strength and regain confidence before moving to land-based exercises.

Especially helpful for conditions like arthritis, muscle injuries, and back pain, hydrotherapy can relieve pain, help boost strength, and support overall well-being for people of all ages.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy helps people of all ages take part in the daily activities that matter most—whether that’s self-care, work, study, or leisure. Our OTs focus on practical solutions that promote independence, confidence, and quality of life.

OT’s assist with:

  • Building skills for everyday tasks like dressing, cooking, or getting around safely

  • Supporting recovery from illness, injury, or surgery

  • Managing long-term or developmental conditions

  • Completing functional capacity assessments

  • Recommending equipment, home or workplace modifications to make life easier

  • Working with families, schools, and employers to create supportive environments.

Clinical Pilates & Rehab

Our one-on-one and small group Clinical Pilates and Group Exercise sessions are held in our clinical rehab gym and pilates rooms and are designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and build confidence in your body.

Led by our Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Allied Health Assistants, sessions are tailored to your individual goals — whether that’s recovery from injury, improving core strength, builsing endurance, enhancing balance, or maintaining general fitness.

Each program is based on your assessment findings and progression is closely supervised to ensure safe, effective, and enjoyable movement at your own pace.

Whether you’re looking to return to exercise, manage a long-term condition, or simply stay active, our team will support you every step of the way.
