About Us

River Allied Health is an innovative, community-focused allied health practice located in Renmark, South Australia.


Formerly known as Renmark Physiotherapy Service, we’ve proudly served the Riverland for over 40 years and continue to grow as a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health and wellbeing across our region.


Whether you are a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Exercise Physiologist, Psycholgist, Dietician or any other Allied Health professional, we are keen to learn more about how you can add value to our team.

New graduates benefit from structured mentorship and weekly professional development, led by a team of senior clinicians with experience across:

  • Musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation

  • Occupational health and injury prevention

  • Disability and neurological rehabilitation

  • Paediatrics and aged care

  • Hydrotherapy, pilates, and persistent pain management.


Our team also includes Allied Health Assistants and a highly experienced administrative support team to help you focus on what you do best—patient care.

Renmark is a thriving riverside community on the Murray River—just under three hours from Adelaide and 90 minutes from Mildura.

Skills & Requirements

Essential:

  • AHPRA registration (or pending registration for new grads)

  • Current driver’s licence

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A collaborative, positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team culture

  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, and relevant clearances (assistance provided upon commencement).


Desirable:

  • Experience or interest in aged care, hydrotherapy, or occupational health

  • Willingness to travel within the Riverland for community or home-based visits

  • Interest in ongoing professional growth and learning.



New Graduate Pathway


Your First Year: Supported, Structured, and Tailored to You

At River Allied Health, we understand that every new graduate brings unique strengths and learning preferences. That’s why our progression plan is flexible, responsive, and designed to help you grow with confidence. 


Here’s what your first year with River Allied Health could look like:

Weeks 1–2: Foundations & Familiarisation

  • Comprehensive orientation program

  • Hands-on training in clinical systems and software

  • Discipline-specific shadowing with a senior clinician

  • Dedicated mentorship and weekly supervision

  • Gradual client introduction: start with as little as 1 supported client per day.


Weeks 3–12: Building Confidence

  • Incremental increase of 1 client per day, up to 3 clients daily

  • Continued clinical supervision and mentorship, typically 2x 1 hour sessions weekly focusing on clinical reasoning, case reviews, hands on and assessment skills

  • Gradual exposure to different client and simple third party referral types i.e. Medicare, Aged Care or Government supported clients

  • Interdisciplinary mentorship and shadowing opportunities.


Months 3–6: Expanding Capacity

  • Weekly increase of 1 client until reaching 4 clients per day

  • Ongoing structured clinical support and review with a senior clinician.


Months 6–12: Growing Independence

  • Increase to 5 clients per day, paced according to your readiness

  • Continued access to supervision, clinical mentorship and wellbeing support (with frequency / duration reducible as preferred).


Beyond Year 1: Finding Your Flow

  • Client load adjusted based on your preferences, interests and goals

  • Expand your caseload and complexity of clients at a comfortable pace

  • Training and integration into more complex third party systems - i.e. RTWSA, NDIS.


Additional Benefits in Your First Two Years

  • Annual external professional development allowance

  • Weekly wellbeing check-ins.


Ongoing Support Throughout Your Career

  • Continued access to shadowing and online training

  • Diverse professional development opportunities

  • Flexible work arrangements that support work/life balance

  • 1x monthly 1-hour multidisciplinary PD session

  • 1x monthly 1-hour multidisciplinary team meeting

We understand that some Allied Health disciplines require more time per client, and we adjust accordingly. Client hours include contact time, documentation, travel, meetings, and resource preparation.
